Long before Jesus was born in Bethlehem, He was known as Jehova of the Old Testament. He created all things Under the Father’s direction. As part of His divine mission, He fashioned a world where we could dwell, and then, the great Creator descended below all things! He overcame sin and He overcame death. And now, He invites each of us to Come Unto Him! He is mighty to save. He is all powerful. He is full of grace and truth. Along with Isaiah, let us proclaim with our children that “His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Open the lesson with a song and a prayer.

➤ P R E P A R A T I O N:
You will need some legos or other types of building materials for each child and a timer.
➤ I N T R O D U C T I O N
Give each child a small pile of lego bricks (20-30 pieces). Tell the children that they are going to have 5 minutes to make a house using their bricks! Set the timer for 5 minutes and assist the children as they attempt to build their house.
After the timer ends, help the children finish up their creations. Next, give each child a turn to show their creation to the rest of the group and to tell the group about what they made.
After you have completed the activity, discuss the following questions:
1) Jesus Christ is the creator. Do you know what things Jesus Christ created? (He created the sun, the moon, the stars, the planets, the earth, and everything on the earth!)
2) Was Jesus doing whatever He wanted to do? Or, was he obeying Heavenly Father’s commandments? (He was obeying Heavenly Father’s commandments.)
3) When we create things (like our lego creations), who are we learning to be like? (We are learning to be like Heavenly Father! Heavenly Father is a creator! And Jesus Christ is a creator! And we are His children, so we create things too - just like them!)
