IWhy do we need to know that the Lord is all powerful? Because without that knowledge, we couldn't exercise faith in Him. Thankfully, the Lord has made Himself known to us!
He is the Creator. He walked the earth and performed many miracles. He lived a perfect life. He took our sins upon Himself and endured greater suffering than we are able to comprehend. And He conquered death and brought forth the resurrection!
May your faith in Christ be strengthened and renewed as you study the miracles Jesus performed during His mortal ministry. He has power over death. He has the power to heal us. He is mighty to save!

➤ P R E P A R A T I O N:
Print the “Triangle Mystery” printable (provided with this lesson). Before the lesson, carefully cut out each of the four small shapes shown below the instructions. You do not need to cut anything out on the page with the two large triangles.
➤ I N T R O D U C T I O N
Place the paper with the two large triangles on a table or flat surface. Invite the children to gather around it. Invite the children to work together to place the four shapes on triangle #1 as shown. Help the children to observe that all of the space is taken up and that there is no room for an extra square.
Now tell the children that they are going to make an extra square appear! Invite the children to work together to place the four shapes on triangle #2 as shown. Ask the children where the extra square came from and let them marvel over the mystery!
Explain: Even when it seemed impossible, we found a way to make an extra square appear! Jesus has the power to do many things that seem impossible to us. He performed many miracles while He was on the earth. When we see that Jesus has power to perform miracles, then we can have faith that He also has power to heal our hearts, resurrect our bodies, and forgive our sins!

Say: “Now we are going to watch a video about some of the miracles that Jesus performed while He was on the earth. See if you can remember all 5 of the miracles in the video!”
Discuss the following questions after watching the video:
1) Which of the miracles can you remember?” (Catching enough fish to fill two boats, healing the paralyzed man, feeding 5000 with two fish and five loaves, calming the storm, and Jesus Christ’s resurrection.)
2) Why did Jesus perform miracles while He was on the earth? (So we would know that He is the son of God, and because He had compassion for the people around Him, and to help us have greater faith in Him.)
3) If we know that Jesus Christ can do miracles, why can that strengthen our faith in Him? (When we see that Jesus has power to perform miracles, then we can have faith that He also has power to heal our hearts, resurrect our bodies, and forgive our sins!)

Read the scripture verses below and discuss the questions that follow.
And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us. And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
1) What miracle did Jesus perform in this verse? (Jesus healed two blind men.)
2) What did the blind men do to show their faith in Jesus Christ? (They followed Him and asked Him to have mercy on them, and they believed Him.)
3) What can we do to show our faith in Jesus Christ? (We can also follow Him, believe Him, and ask for Him to have mercy on us!)
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise. And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.
1) What miracle did Jesus perform in this scripture? (He brought a 12 year old girl back to life and healed her of her sickness.)
2) How did the people feel when they saw this? (They were astonished! That means they were very surprised!)
But behold, I will show unto you a God of miracles, even the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and it is that same God who created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are.
1) What does Mormon say that God is like? (He said He is “a God of miracles.”)
2) What do you think “a God of Miracles” means? What does that tell us about God? (It means that He has power to do all things!)
